This research addresses communication management and its impact on the work environment at the “National Housing Board” Educational Unit in Quito, Ecuador. It is based on the premise that efficient communication is crucial for establishing a healthy work environment in educational institutions. The main objective was to propose a comprehensive manual to improve communication management and strengthen the institutional work climate. A mixed methodology (qualitative-quantitative) was implemented with an inductive approach and a non-experimental field design, applying surveys and semi-structured interviews to 47 administrative and teaching staff members. The results revealed deficiencies in conflict resolution channels, performance control systems, and feedback (rated at 0,3/0,7), while communication between colleagues obtained the highest score (0,6/0,7). Approximately 50% of staff perceive that institutional communication is effective only “sometimes”. It was concluded that there is a direct correlation between the quality of communication processes and the perception of the work environment, confirming that strategic and participatory communication management is a decisive factor in building healthy work environments, with a direct impact on educational quality.
