Transformational leadership constitutes a fundamental strategy in the educational field that fosters environments oriented toward professional growth and teacher collaboration. This research analyzed the characteristics of transformational leadership at Miguel Ángel Cazares Educational Unit through documentary review and surveys applied to administrators and teachers, aiming to design a training program that optimizes teacher performance. A documentary and descriptive methodology with a quantitative approach was employed, applying a structured questionnaire to 27 participants using a five-level Likert scale. Results revealed that 55,5% of respondents expressed negative perceptions about the existence of transformational leadership in the institution, identifying significant deficiencies in innovation promotion, institutional vision communication, and leadership accessibility. Paradoxically, 63% recognized that this leadership style positively influences job satisfaction. It is concluded that current institutional leadership characteristics present substantial deficiencies across multiple dimensions of the transformational model, justifying the implementation of a comprehensive transformational leadership training program to optimize teacher performance.
