For Stampini, Robles, Sáenz, Ibarrarán and Medellín (2015a): the countries that belong to the Andean Community of Nations (CAN), have significantly increased the volume of the middle class in this century, in an environment of economic growth never experienced , driven by the rising price of raw materials.
